1988 The CC Metal plate

In 1988, the first CC labelling operation was carried out. 
All CC Containers were provided with metal plates with the unique CC logo and a text stating the legal ownership of the CC Containers.

1996 CC Hologram

1996 “Operation New Labelling”

“Operation New Labelling” was the second labelling operation in Container Centralen’s history. A safety hologram was placed next to the metal plate on all genuine CC Containers.

CC ID 2000 tag

“ID 2000”

Illegal copy containers were increasingly becoming a problem. In 2000, we consequently carried out a labelling operation. Padlocks with bar codes were placed on all CC Containers overnight.

2003 Operation Fair Play padlock

2003 “Operation Fair Play”

“They take money from your pocket. They create nothing but problems. They have to be stopped!” That was the powerful headline for the fourth labelling action “Operation Fair Play”,  2003. This referred to the aggressive producers of illegal container copies. The previous padlock on the CC Container was exchanged for the black one which we all know today.

2011 “Operation Chip It!”

“Operation Chip It” is the labelling operation that takes place in the December 2010 / January 2011. By January 10, 2011, all 3.5 million CC Containers must be RFID tagged to be accepted in the CC Pool System.
